Abuse Policy
How we handle reports of spam, phishing and malware on domains registered with us.
1. Scope
This policy covers reports of abuse of domains registered through Reggeo: phishing, malware distribution, botnet command-and-control servers, unsolicited email (spam), fraud and illegal content.
Trademark or name rights disputes over a domain are not covered by this policy; they are subject to ICANN's Uniform Domain-Name Dispute-Resolution Policy (UDRP).
2. How to report
You can send your report to [email protected] or through the contact form by choosing the "Abuse report" topic. Your report should include:
- The domain name involved and the address (URL) where the abuse was seen.
- The type of abuse and when it was seen.
- Evidence if possible: screenshots, email headers or a hash of the malicious file.
- An email address where we can reach you.
3. Review
Reports are reviewed with priority and taken up for assessment within 24 hours. Requests from official authorities and competent bodies receive additional priority. If necessary, we ask the registrant for an explanation.
4. Measures
If the abuse is confirmed, one or more of the following measures is applied, depending on the case:
- A warning to the registrant and a period of time to remedy the issue.
- Stopping DNS resolution for the domain.
- Suspending the domain or blocking its transfer.
- Sharing information with the competent authorities.
5. Appeals
A registrant whose domain is subject to a measure can appeal by opening a support ticket in the panel. The measure remains in place until the appeal is reviewed.
6. Bad-faith reports
Reports that are untrue or made to harm a competitor are not taken into consideration.
